Welcome from Michael Dillon – Manager
Welcome to our new rebranded website, The Ford Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre.
In these difficult times we are challenged by many serious events, in particular, illness, from the COVID -19 virus which may be life threatening for some in our community and worrying for those who support them. In addition, we have those among us who are experiencing a sudden loss of income with a threat to their livelihoods and those who are in isolation and may feel lonely, anxious or depressed. We want to be with you in a supportive way at this time of crisis and give you hope and meaning for now and the future. As we cannot meet you face to face in our counselling rooms, because of the need for social distancing, we are now providing telephone support. When it is safe enough to do so we will once again resume our regular counselling sessions. We have been supporting you through many difficult times for over 30 years and we will continue to do so now and into the future. Our name change reflects the work that we do with you as we guide you safely through turbulent times to ‘a safe crossing’, to healing and transformation.
I would like to thank our Board of Directors who have driven our re-branding and name change, our staff and volunteer therapists, our funders and in particular Seamus Neville of Neville Hotels and William Neville & Sons, the Ask Campaign, The HSE, TUSLA, The Diocese of Ferns and all our funders and supporters. We need your support continuously to deliver this vital service for the mental health and wellbeing of our Co Wexford Community.
Finally, I would like to thank you, our service users who trust us as we support you on this piece of your journey.

‘… and when the danger passed and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed.’
